Humberto Perea Coliseum
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams with six athletes separated by a net face each other. The winner of the game is the team with more sets won. The first four are played at 25 points (unless there is a tie and then the dispute continues until a team gets two points of advantage), and the last one is played at 15 (with the same rule in case of a draw at 14 points). To get a point, a team must make the ball fall into the opponent’s field, with a maximum of three touches, in addition to the blocking contact. Currently, athletes can use any part of the body to touch the ball, but they can’t hold it or throw it. A player can’t give two consecutive touches to the ball, with the exception of the blocking action.
