Swimming was born from the need of the human being to adapt to the environment that surrounds us, up to its current Olympic format, with racing competitions in pools of 50m and eight lanes, where they race qualifiers, semifinals and finals. The competition includes individual and relay events in freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly styles, covering distances that vary from 50m to 1.500m. Competitive swimming is a self-improvement sport, it consists of swimming in order to improve personal records and those established by others.
