Centro de Eventos Puerta de Oro
Fencing is a form of sword fighting. The modality has individual and team disputes, with three different types of weapons in the combats: foil, épée and sabre. The athletes fight on tracks of 14m long and 1,5m wide with the objective of touching the opponent without being touched. During the eliminations, the athlete who adds five touches or remains four minutes untouched wins. Fencing is a combat sport, in which two opponents face each other, trying to touch the opponent with a black blunt weapon; that is, you cannot cut or prick with it.
